Boulders up to 8 feet in diameter were removed from the roadway. Some of the rocks will be used as part of the landscaping designs.

A drill was used to collect soil samples that will be used to identify where soft spots are and to determine the depth of rock. In some areas the ground rock was up to two feet deep. (Now we know why local farmers didn’t farm this area, there isn’t any dirt!)
